What Dweeky Is

If you are on this website the chances are pretty good that you’re a technology, social media, foodie, blogger, gamer, writer, designer, photographer or Internet Geek. There are millions of us out there so don’t feel like it’s something weird or unheard of. Today, it is almost a badge of honor to be considered an Internet or technology Geek. The richest people in America are Geeks.

What is a Dweek?

A person that is overly interested or studious in one field or another, especially anything dealing with technology, design or culture would be labeled a Dweeb. A person interested in the field of computers or the Internet is labeled a Geek.. A person engaged in technology, culture or design on the Internet is therefore a Dweek.

What is being Dweeky?

The Dweek lifestyle is centered around using and discovering new technologies, platforms, communities and media. All of this activity, learning, sharing and discovering is part of being Dweeky. So, by definition, the adjective that describes the activities and functions of a Dweek (Geek + Dweeb) is to be Dweeky.

So, what is a Dweeky.com?

I’ll have to confess that over the years I’ve become a technology Dweeb and Internet Geek. I’m fascinated by really cool start ups, social media portals, Apple gadgets, ultra useful websites and very informational blogs. There’s so much to discover online that most people will only scratch the surface of what is available. My mission on this website is to bring Dweeks online discoveries that they might not have discovered on their own.

My dream is to create a resource of at least 2,000 interesting websites broken into 100 categories that are worth visiting and worth your effort to investigate. Once that goal is attained I’ll set a new goal and shoot for it. This venture will not be completed in a week, a month or even a year. The anticipation of what I’ll find and present to you should be worth the wait and worth the time it will take to check in. Once complete we’ll have the best source of top notch Dweek websites found anywhere!

The types of websites that will be found will center around technology, arts, food, travel, media, entrepreneurship, community, lifestyles and others. The types of websites that won’t be found will be those that deal with illegal activity, mundane subjects, only making ad income, duplicate content and those with no clear directive.

Thank you for at least reading this far! Help spur me on by telling others about my site and throwing a link to Dweeky.com. All the best!
